Use flannel fabric for more frayed effect. Cotton is okay for applique.
To make this purse, you will need:
1/4 yard of 3 different fabrics for 12 strips, 12 straps
1/3 yard for large square on front
1/2 yard for 4 strips, 4 straps, 4 sides
1/3 yard for 4 top strips, 2 bottoms
1 yard flannel for batting
1 spool all-purpose thread
black DMC floss
4 rhinestone buttons for crown
7 inches lace embellishments for crown
scraps for applique
